Scollay Square is a large settlement inhabited by dozens of survivors, all of whom are hostile to the player. They all have access to medium-grade gear and are very capable with it.
Overview[]
While there is an excess of useful gear and powerful weapons here, it is highly unadvised to venture here as the high amounts of enemies will almost certainly overwhelm even the most prepared survivors. Even if one is successful in defeating everyone within Scollay Square, they will still take a tremendous loss of sanity due to all of the people they were forced to kill.
Tactical Considerations[]
Before entering the Scollay Square, a Stealth Boy should be used. Otherwise it is very likely that one gets shot directly after entering the location. Using the alleys in Scollay Square as a choke-point can help to pick off the enemies one by one. When entering Hotel Rexford, the Stealth Boy strategy should also be used, to avoid the same problem as before.
